국내 연구진이 손상된 장기나 피부에 붙여 치료를 돕는 “세포 스티커” 개발에 성공했습니다. 금속이나 플라스틱 등의 보형물이 아닌 자신의 세포를 활용하는 기술로 인체 거부 반응이 없는 데다가 스티커처럼 원하는 위치에 부착할 수 있어, 효과적인 장기 및 신경 세포 치료가 기대됩니다. 신관우 서강대학교 교수는 2011년부터 “인공 세포 제작 기술” 연구에 착수한 결과, 관련 핵심 기술을 확보했고, 하버드대학교의 바이오질병연구소와의 동물 실험을 통해 기술 실증에 성공했습니다. 이들은 이번 연구를 이용한 피부 재생용 세포 스티커의 실용화 연구에 착수했습니다.
