한국이 도로와 철도 기술을 라오스와 몽골에 각각 전수한다. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will transfer domestic road and rail technology to Laos and Mongolia.
국토교통부(국토부)는 공적개발원조(ODA)를 통해 라오스, 몽골과 도로·철도 인프라 협력을 강화한다고 2일 밝혔다. The ministry on June 2 said it will reinforce cooperation in both sectors with the two countries through official development assistance (ODA).
이에 따라 국토부는 라오스에 한국형 도로 설계 기준을 비롯해 도로 포장 관련 설비와 기술을 제공한다. 몽골엔 광물자원과 연계한 철도망 계획 수립과 한국형 철도 관리 시스템 구축을 지원한다.
Laos will receive Korean-standard road design and equipment and technology for road paving. Mongolia can expect a rail network plan linked to the country’s mineral resources and a Korean-style system of rail management.
국토부, 한국건설기술연구원, 해외건설협회로 구성된 라오스 ODA 협력 출장단은 지난달 28일 라오스에서 도로포장용 건설재료 생산장비를 전달하고 후속사업 발굴을 논의했다.
An ODA cooperation team for Laos comprises the ministry, Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology, and International Contractors Association of Korea. The group on May 28 delivered to the Southeast Asian country equipment to make construction materials for road paving and discussed finding follow-up projects.
국토부 ODA사업인 ‘라오스 도로 건설 및 관리 기반 자립화 사업’을 통해 비포장 도로 비율이 높은 라오스에 도로 포장 점검 장비를 제공했다. 또 라오스 환경에 적합한 한국 도로 건설 기준을 제공하고 교육하는 등 라오스의 도로 관리 역량 강화를 지원 중이다.
The provision of road pavement inspection equipment to Laos, which has many unpaved roads, was made under the ministry’s ODA self-reliance project for Laos in road construction and management infrastructure. In addition, support will go to boost Laotian capacity to manage roads through providing and training in Korean standards of road construction suitable for the Southeast Asian country’s environment.
한편 지난달 30일 국토부, 한국철도공사, 한국교통연구원 등으로 구성된 몽골 ODA 협력 출장단은 몽골에서 ‘몽골 철도 개발전략 수립’을 최종 보고회를 열었다. 사업은 몽골의 주요 광산거점 지역을 연결하는 철도망을 구축하는 사업이다. 몽골 철도 건설과 운영 분야에서 한국 공공기관 및 민간기업이 적극적으로 협력할 수 있는 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다.
Finally, the ministry, Korea Railroad Corp. and Korea Transport Institute, the three sides comprising the ODA cooperation team for Mongolia, on May 30 held a final briefing in Mongolia on devising the strategy for rail development there. The group’s project is to build a rail network connecting major mining bases in the country, a venture considered an opportunity for Korean public institutions and private companies to cooperate in rail construction and operation in Mongolia.
