한국 여자 양궁 대표팀이 2024 파리 하계올림픽(파리올림픽) 여자 단체전에서 금메달을 획득하며 ‘올림픽 단체전 10연패’의 신화를 달성했다. The national women’s archery team has made history at the Paris Summer Olympics with its 10th consecutive gold medal.
임시현, 남수현, 전훈영으로 이뤄진 한국 여자 양궁 대표팀은 28일(현지 시간) 프랑스 파리 레쟁발리드에서 열린 파리올림픽 여자 단체 결승전에서 중국을 5-4(56-53, 55-54, 51-54, 53-55, 29-27)로 꺾고 승리했다.
The trio of Lim Sihyeon, Nam Suhyeon and Jeon Hunyoung on July 28 defeated their Chinese counterparts, 5-4 (56-53, 55-54, 51-54, 53-55, 29-27), in the finals at Les Invalides in the French capital.
단체전이 처음 도입된 1988 서울 하계올림픽부터 한 번도 빼놓지 않고 세계 양궁 역사에 10회 연속 우승이란 진기록을 세웠다. Since the event’s debut at the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympics, Korea has won all 10 golds in the competition.
남수현 선수는 당일 메달 시상식을 마친 후 공동취재구역에서 가진 인터뷰에서 “꿈에 그리던 올림픽 무대를 선 것만으로 영광이었는데 같이 합을 맞춰 단체전 10연패라는 역사를 써 정말 영광이다”며 벅찬 소감을 밝혔다.
At the medals ceremony held at the joint media coverage area, Nam said, “It’s an honor just to achieve my dream of standing on the Olympic stage, but truly a honor to make history with 10 consecutive team victories.”
윤석열 대통령은 29일(한국 시간) 페이스북을 통해 “올림픽 양궁 여자 단체전 10연패의 위업을 달성한 국가대표 임시현, 전훈영, 남수현 선수에게 뜨거운 박수를 보낸다” 며 “세 선수 모두 올림픽 경험이 없었지만 어느 대회보다 어렵다는 대한민국 대표팀 선발전을 뚫고 올라와 ‘대한민국 1등이 곧 세계 1등’임을 다시 한번 증명했다”고 축하의 메시지를 보냈다.
“I send a warm round of applause to national team members Lim Sihyeon, Jeon Hunyoung and Nam Suhyeon for achieving the milestone of 10 consecutive Olympic victories in women’s team archery,” President Yoon Suk Yeol on July 29 said in a congratulatory message on Facebook. “None of the three players had any prior Olympic experience, but passed perhaps the world’s most difficult qualification of the Republic of Korea’s national team, proving once again that No. 1 in Korea means No. 1 in the world.”
한편, 한국은 29일(오전 10시 기준) 파리올림픽에서 금메달 3개(사격, 양궁, 펜싱), 은메달 2개(사격), 동메달 1개(수영) 총 메달 6개를 획득해 종합 5위를 기록하고 있다. As of July 29, Korea had six medals for fifth in the overall rankings: three golds in shooting, archery and fencing, two silvers in shooting and one bronze in swimming.
대회 첫날인 27일 펜싱 남자 사브르 개인전에서 오상욱이 압도적인 기량으로 결승까지 전부 낙승, 한국에 첫 금메달을 안겼다. 사격 10m 공기소총 혼성에서 박하준과 금지현이 은메달을 따냈다. 수영 남자 자유형 400m에서 김우민이 한국 수영 역대 두 번째 메달인 동메달을 거머쥐었다.
On the Olympics’ opening day of July 27, fencer Oh Sanguk convincingly won the men’s individual sabre for Korea’s first gold of this tournament. Shooters Park Hajun and Keum Jihyeon also took the team silver in the mixed 10 m air rifle, and swimmer Kim Woomin grabbed his nation’s second in history in the men’s 400 m freestyle with the bronze.
28일엔 오예진이 사격 여자 10m 공기권총에서 깜짝 금메달을 획득한 것은 물론 같은 종목에서 김예지가 은메달을 수확했다. Also in shooting, Oh Yejin on July 28 won the gold in the women’s 10 m air pistol and teammate Kim Yeji the silver.
