도자기 축제 어땠어?

재미있었어. 나 거기서 도자기도 만들어 봤어.

도자기를 만들어 봤단 말이야? 너 공예나 조각 같은 거 싫어하잖아.
So, you’ve made pottery? You do not like to craft or sculpt.
내가 워낙 만드는 재주가 없으니까. 그래도 한번 해 봤는데 재미있더라.
That’s because I have absolutely no skills in making things. But it was still fun when I tried it.
도자기는 어디 있어? 보여 줘.

도자기는 구워서 택배로 보내 준대. 도착하면 보여 줄게.

V+ 는/ㄴ단 말이에요?
A+ 단 말이에요?
It is used with an action verb or descriptive verb stem. It is used when you ask for confirmation about what you know about the information. It is used when you are unable to believe in someone. ‘-는단/ㄴ단/단’ is an abbreviation form of ‘-는다는/ㄴ다는/다는’.

‘-는단 말이에요.’ is used if it ends with the consonant of an action verb stem. ‘ -ㄴ단 말이에요.’ is used if it ends with a vowel of an action verb stem. ‘-단 말이에요.’ is used if it ends with a descriptive verb stem.

가: 요즘에 살 빼느라고 밥은 안 먹고 과일만 먹어요.
I eat only fruit, but I do not eat rice in order to lose weight recently.
나: 정말 과일만 먹는단 말이에요?
Do you really only eat fruit?

가:이번 달에 핸드폰 요금이 20만원이나 나왔어요.
I have a cell phone bill of 200,000 won this month.
나: 핸드폰을 그렇게 많이 썼단 말이에요?
Did you use the phone that much?
