V+ 는 대로 V+ 을게요/ㄹ게요.

It is used when the speaker expresses or promises to do something immediately after a task or situation.’-는 대로’ is attached to the stem of an action verb.

For ‘-을게요/ㄹ게요’, if the stem of an action verb ends with a vowel or ‘ㄹ’, you use ‘-ㄹ게요’, if it ends with another consonant, you use ‘-을게요’.

노트북 수리가 완료되는 대로 문자 메시지를 보내 드릴게요.
I’ll send you a text message as soon as the laptop is repaired.

유양 씨를 찾는 대로 네가 기다리고 있다고 말할게.
I’ll tell him you’re waiting as soon as I find Yooyang.

사람들이 도착하는 대로 회의를 시작할게요.
Let’s start the meeting as soon as people arrive.

Conversation:

아저씨, 세탁물을 맡기려고 하는데요.
I’d like to leave my laundry, sir.

니트 하나 하고 셔츠 하나, 모두 두 벌 맞지요?
One knitwear and one shirt, two clothes in total, right?

네, 니트는 드라이클리닝을 해 주시고, 셔츠는 얼룩을 지워 주세요.
Yes, please dry-clean the knitwear and remove the stain from the shirt.

이건 어쩌다가 생긴 얼룩이에요?
Where did this stain come from?

과일을 먹다가 좀 흘렸는데 시간이 지나니까 얼룩이 안 지워져요.
I spilled some fruit while eating it, but the stain won’t come off as time goes by.

과일 얼룩은 바로 지우지 않으면 잘 안 빠지기는 해요.
Fruit stains won’t come out easily unless you remove them right away.

좀 급한데 언제까지 가능해요?
I’m in a little hurry, till when can it be done?

세탁이 끝나는 대로 바로 연락을 드릴게요.
