속이 좀 쓰려. 어젯밤에 출출해서 떡볶이를 먹었거든.
I have a little heartburn. I was a slightly hungry last night so I ate Tteokbokki.
네가 자주 먹는 매운 떡볶이 말이야? 매워서 난 한입도 못 먹겠더라.
Are you talking about the spicy Tteokbokki that you often eat? I can’t even eat a bite because it’s so spicy.
위염이 있어서 먹으면 안 되는데 맛있어서 자꾸 먹게 돼.
I am not supposed to eat it because I have gastritis but it’s so good so I keep eating it.
그러다가 위염이 심해지겠다.

V+ 을까/ㄹ까 보다
As it is attached to an action verb’s stem, it is used when the speaker’s will is uncertain and weak even though the speaker has the will to do his behavior.
‘-ㄹ까 보다’ is used if it ends with a vowel of an action verb’s stem or ‘ㄹ’. Other than that, ‘-을까 보다’ is used when it ends with a consonant.
졸린데 커피나 한 잔 마실까 봐요.
Since I feel sleepy, I will take a cup of coffee.
저 아까부터 머리가 계속 아픈데 약국에라도 갈까 봐요.
Since I have continuously been having a headache, I will go to the pharmacy.
나 오늘 몸이 좀 안 좋으니까 스터디 모임을 쉴까 봐.
Since I feel sick today, I will skip the study meeting.
