숙박, 식음, 관람, 체험 등 각종 여행 할인 혜택을 누릴 수 있는 ‘디지털 관광주민증(관광주민증)’ 서비스 운영 지역이 다음 달 1일부터 2배 이상 확대된다. The number of regions accepting a digital “tourist resident card” will be more than doubled from next month to offer holders discounts on accommodation, food and beverage, sightseeing and experiences.
문화체육관광부는 한국관광공사와 함께 ‘6월 여행가는 달’에 맞춰 인구감소지역의 관광 활성화를 위해 관광주민증 서비스 운영 지역을 기존 15곳에서 34곳으로 확대한다고 27일 밝혔다.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on May 27 said that under a joint program with the Korea Tourism Organization, the number of regions accepting the card will rise from 15 to 34 to stimulate visits to regions with declining populations in time for the campaign “Travel Month June.”
관광주민증은 지방 소멸 위기를 겪고 있는 인구감소지역을 대상으로 발급되는 일종의 명예 주민증이다. 관광주민증을 발급받고 해당 지역의 관광시설‧업체에 비치된 정보무늬(QR코드)를 스캔하면 각종 여행 편의시설과 체험 행사 등에서 다양한 할인 혜택을 누릴 수 있다.
The program offers a type of honorary resident card applicable to depopulated areas facing extinction. A user can scan the card’s QR code at participating tourist facilities and businesses in an area to get discounts on travel amenities and experiences.
이번에 새롭게 추가된 19개 지역 총 500여 건의 관광시설과 업체에서도 지역 주민 수준의 할인을 받을 수 있게 된다. 확대된 지역은 강원 양양군, 경기 가평군, 경북 안동시, 경남 합천군 등이다.
A combined 500 tourist facilities and businesses in 19 newly added regions will offer discounts comparable to those for residents. The additional areas include Yangyang-gun County, Gangwon-do Province; Gapyeong-gun County, Gyeonggi-do Province; Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province; and Hapcheon-gun County, Gyeongsangnam-do Province.
현재 관광주민증을 발급받은 사람은 총 70만 명을 넘어선 것으로 집계됐다. Over 700,000 of the cards have been issued.
관광주민증은 ‘대한민국 구석구석’ 누리집(https://korean.visitkorea.or.kr/main/main.do)과 모바일 애플리케이션에서 발급받을 수 있다. Those interested can apply for a pass on the Visit Korea website (www.visitkorea.or.kr) or its mobile app.
