V/A+ 는데요/은데요/ㄴ데요.²(거절)
It is used with an action verb or descriptive verb stem. It is used when you consider the reaction of the listener while you reject his/her suggestion nicely or smoothly.

It is used ‘-는데요’ at the end of an action verb stem, ‘있다’, ‘없다’. It is used ‘-ㄴ데요’ for the end of vowel or end of descriptive verb stem with ‘ㄹ’ ending. Otherwise, it is used ‘-은데요’ after the end of a descriptive verb stem with the rest of consonants’ ending.

가: 주말에 만날 수 있을까요?
May I see you on weekend?
나: 저는 주말에 선약이 있는데요.
I have an appointment in advance this weekend.

가: 심심하면 영화나 한 편 볼까요?
Shall we go to the movies if you are bored?
나: 조금 이따가 나가는데요.
I am planning to go out soon.

가: 이 가방이 어때요?
How is this bag?
나 : 그 가방은 좀 작은데요.
It looks a little bit small.
