청와대 개방 2주년을 맞아 전시부터 음악회까지 다채로운 문화행사가 열린다. Cultural events from exhibitions to music concerts will mark the second anniversary of the reopening of the former presidential compound of Cheong Wa Dae to the public.
문화체육관광부(문체부)와 청와대재단(재단)은 청와대 개방의 의미를 돌아보고 가치를 되새기는 특별 문화예술행사를 개최한다고 밝혔다. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Cheong Wa Dae Foundation on April 30 said they will hold culture and arts events to reflect on the meaning and value of Cheong Wa Dae’s reopening.
먼저 청와대 본관에서 ‘정상의 악수, 자유의 약속 : 정상으로 모십니다’ 특별전이 오는 7월 29일까지 열린다. 윤석열 대통령이 지난 2년 동안 과학기술, 보훈, 국방, 문화, 산업 영역에서 일군 정상외교 기록을 매체 예술(미디어 아트)과 각국 정상에게 받은 증정품을 활용해 문화적으로 해석했다.
The compound’s main building will host through July 29 the exhibition “Handshakes for Freedom.” Through cultural interpretations shown via media art and items President Yoon Suk Yeol received from heads of state, the display showcases records of his summit diplomacy over the past two years in science and technology, veterans’ affairs, national defense, culture and industry.
특별전과 연계해 ‘희망을 그리는 아이들: 우크라이나 아동 그림전’이 오는 6월 3일까지 춘추관 2층에서 시민을 맞이한다. 전쟁을 겪은 우크라이나 어린이의 일상과 희망을 그린 그림 150여 점을 만날 수 있다. 아동 그림전은 지난해 7월 윤 대통령 내외가 우크라이나를 방문했을 때 키이우의 아동권리센터에서 아이들의 그림을 본 것을 계기로 마련했다.
“Children Drawing Hope: The Exhibition of Ukrainian Children’s Art,” running until June 3 on the second floor of the former media center Chunchugwan, features about 150 drawings depicting the daily lives and hopes of Ukrainian children experiencing war. This event was inspired by the drawings President Yoon saw in July at a center for protecting children’s rights in Kiev, Ukraine, when he and his wife visited there.
‘국민과 함께하는 청와대, 세계와 만나는 K-컬처’를 주제로 한 음악회도 오는 7일 청와대 대정원에서 펼쳐진다. 국가유공자, 사회적 배려계층, 다자녀·다문화가족 등 일반 국민 400여 명과 외교사절, 외국인 유학생 등 한국에 사는 외국이 700여 명이 함께해 국악, 클래식, K-팝 등 다양한 무대를 즐길 예정이다.
A concert under the theme “Cheong Wa Dae with the People: K-Culture Meets the World” is slated for May 7 at the garden Daejeongwon. An estimated 400 members of the public including national merit honorees, the socially disadvantaged, multicultural families, families with multiple children and 700 foreign nationals including envoys and students in Korea can see gugak (traditional music), classical music and K-pop.
이밖에 농악, 전통음악, 줄타기, 탈춤을 선보이는 ‘대한민국 전통연희축제’를 비롯해 클래식 가족음악회, 오페라 갈라 콘서트 등의 문화예술행사가 이어진다.
The Korean Traditional Theater Festival will feature nongak (traditional farmers’ music), jultagi (tightrope walking) and talchum (mask dance), and other cultural arts events include family classical music and opera gala concerts.
최근 크게 늘고있는 외국인 관람객을 위해 기존 한국어와 영어로 제공하던 청와대 누리집에 일본어와 중국어 판을 추가했다. 앞서 외국인이 전자우편(이메일)으로 간단한 인증 절차를 거친 뒤 예약할 수 있도록 시스템도 개선했다.
Due to the rising number of foreign visitors, Cheong Wa Dae’s website has added Japanese- and Chinese-language pages to the ones in Korean and English. It also allowed foreign nationals to make reservations through a simple verification process via email.
문체부와 재단은 “과거 대통령실이었던 청와대가 국민 품으로 돌아간 것은 대한민국 역사의 주인공은 국민이라는 뜻” 이라며 “역사적 상징성과 특수성을 품은 청와대에 복합문화공간으로서 새로운 정체성을 더해 청와대가 국민 곁으로 한층 더 가까이 다가서도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
“The return of Cheong Wa Dae, formerly the presidential office, to the arms of the public means that the protagonists of Korean history are the people,” the ministry and the foundation said in a statement. “By adding to Cheong Wa dae a new identity as a multicomplex cultural space given its historical symbolism and specialty, we will bring Cheong Wa Dae closer to the people.”
