서울에서 제주도까지 비행기 가요.
(I) go from Seoul to Jeju Island by airplane.

가위 종이를 잘라요.
(I) cut the paper with scissors.

땅콩으로 쟁을 만들었어요.
(I) made jam from peanuts.

Grammar Focus :
1. (으)로 expresses a direction (toward a place). It means ‘to’ or ‘toward’ in English. When the preceding noun ends in a vowel or ㄹ, 로 is used, and when the noun ends in a consonant, 으로 is used.
• 오른쪽으로 가세요. 은행이 나와요.
Please go to the right. You’ll see a bank.

• 앞으로 쭉 가세요. 우체국이 있어요.
Please go straight forward. There’s a post office.

2. (으)로 is also used when expressing means of transport, other means, tools, and materials used to make something. This meaning corresponds to ‘by’ or ‘with/using’ and ‘from’ in English. 
• 부산에 기차 갈 거예요. I’ll go to Busan by train.
• 가위 종이를 잘라요. I cut the paper with scissors.
• 밀가루 빵을 만들어요. I make bread from flour.

Conversation:
A: 실례합니다. 은행이 어디에 있어요?
Pardon me. Where is the bank?
B: 저 약국 앞에서 오른쪽으로 가세요.
Please go to the right from that pharmacy (over there).

A: 서울에서 부산에 어떻게 가요?
How do you get to Busan from Seoul?
B: 기차 가세요. 기차가 빨라요.
(Please) go by train. The train is fast.

A: 이 과자가 맛있어요. 뭐 만들었어요?
This candy is good. What’s it made of?
B: 이 과자는 쌀 만들었어요.
This candy is made of rice.

A: 한국 사람은 숟가락으로 밥을 먹어요.
Koreans eat rice with a spoon.
B: 일본 사람은 젓가락으로 밥을 먹어요.

Notes:
When a means of transport is represented by a verb instead of a noun, -아/어서 is added to the verb, such as in 걸어서, 뛰어서, 달려서, 운전해서 and 수영해서.
• 학교에서 집까지 걸어서 가요.
I go home from school on foot.

• 서울에서 부산까지 운전해서 갔어요.
I went from Seoul to Busan by driving a car.

• 부산에서 제주도까지 수영해서 갈 거예요.
I plan to swim (go by swimming) from Busan to Jeju Island.
