V+ 었다/았다/였다 하면
It is attached to the stem of an action verb to mean that if you do the behavior, the behavior of the following clause will be done mandatorily. The noun that comes right in front of the action verb is often used with ‘만’, the restrictive sub-postpositional particle.

제임스 씨는 머리가 정말 좋은가 봐요. 시험만 봤다 하면 합격을 하네요.
I guess James is really smart. He passes every test he takes.

저는 그 가수의 음악만 들었다 하면 눈물이 나요.
Every time I listen to the singer’s music, I cry.
