It is used with an action or descriptive verb stems. It is useful to express when the following statement is the opposite with continuation even though the preceding clause is agreeable or to be recognized.
한국 드라마를 자주 보기는 하지만 좋아하지 않아요.
Even though I watch Korean drama frequently, I do not like it.
떡볶이가 맵기는 하지만 맛있어요.
Even though the rice cake is spicy, it is delicious.
생일 파티에 가고 싶기는 하지만 몸이 아파서 못 가겠어요.
Even though I want to go to the birthday party, I don’t think I am able to go due to sickness.
