담배는 안 피우고요. 술도 좋아하지 않아서 거의 안 마셔요.
I do not smoke. I do not like alcohol, so I do not drink.
평소에 운동 자주 하세요?
Do you exercise often?
네, 유산소 운동이 건강에 좋다고 해서 수영을 자주 해요.
Yes, I often swim because aerobic exercise is good for my health.

V/A+ 는/은/ㄴ 건 아니고
It is used with an active verb and descriptive verb stem. It is used when the speaker suggests the different content in the following clause. The speaker is able to deny the content of the preceding clause. The content of the following clause is similar to the preceding clause partially.

‘-는 건 아니고’ is used if it ends with the action verb stem ‘있다’, ‘없다’. ‘- ㄴ 건 아니고’ is used if it ends with a vowel or with a ‘ㄹ’ of the descriptive verb stem. ‘-은 건 아니고’ is used if ends with consonants of a descriptive verb stem.

는 건 아니고 잠깐 이야기하던 중이었어요.
I was not taking a rest, but I was talking for a moment.

그 사람이 싫은 건 아니고 그냥 저하고 성격이 잘 안 맞는 거 같아요.
It is not that I do not like him, but our personalities do not get along.
