부산 국제 영화제 – Pusan International Film Festival

 부산 국제 영화제는 1996년 가을에 시작한 한국의 대표적인 국제 영화제이다. 매년 가을 9일간의 영화제 기간 동안 세계 각국의 영화감독들과 영화배우들이 모인다. 또 이들이 만들고 출연한 영화들이 부산 영화관에서 상영된다.

Pusan International Film Festival began in fall. 1996, and it is a representative film festival in Korea. It is held every fall for nine days, inviting many movie directors and actors from all over the world. The movies they make and star in are shown at the festival.

1996년에 개최된 제1회 부산 국제 영화제는 한국에서 열린 첫 번째 국제 영화제로, 세계적으로 인정받은 작품들을 엄선하여 상영해 준다. 이 영화제는 정적인 영화 관람의 형태에서 벗어나 적극적이고 참여하는 영상 문화를 만들어 가고 있다. 또한 세계 영화계 에서 중요한 위치를 차지하게 된 아시아 영화들을 선별하여 아시아 영화의 생생한 감동을 느낄 수 있도록 하였다. 부산 국제 영화제는 다양한 나라들의 우수한 영화들을 상영하여 많은 영화 팬들에게 사랑을 받고 있다.

The first Pusan International Film Festival was the first international film festival held in Korea. During the festival, internationally acknowledged movies are shown for audience. This film festival is not merely a form of passively watching the movies, but it has shown active ways to inform about movie and any related events to the public. It has especially picked few Asian movies and shown in order to bring good impression about Asian movies. Pusan International Film Festival has offered many excellent movies from different countries thus it has been recognized by thousands of movie fans all over the world.
