V/A+ 을/ㄹ 따름이다
It is attached to the stem of an action verb or descriptive verb to show that that is all and one does not consider any other possibility or situation. It becomes an idiomatic greeting if it is used with ‘죄송하다, 고맙다, 미안하다’, and so on.
저는 제 할 일을 할 따름입니다.
I’m just doing my job.
제 아이가 건강하게 자란 것이 그저 고마울 따름이지요.
I’m just thankful that my child grew up healthy.
