한국문화의 다채로운 매력을 알리는 문화행사와 공연이 태국과 베트남에서 열린다. Thailand and Vietnam this month will host cultural and performing arts events featuring Korean culture.
문화체육관광부(문체부)는 주태국한국문화원, 주베트남한국문화원, 한국국제문화교류진흥원과 함께 ‘2026 코리아시즌’을 태국과 베트남에서 개최한다고 20일 밝혔다.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Seoul on May 20 announced its joint hosting of the 2026 Korea Season in both countries along with Korean Cultural Centers in Bangkok and Hanoi and the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange.
먼저 한국 전통 모자 갓을 발레로 재해석한 창작 공연 ‘갓(Gat)’을 23일과 27일 태국 방콕 시암 픽 카네 공연장과 베트남 하노이 호금오페라하우스에서 선보인다.
“Gat,” an original production that reinterprets the eponymous traditional male hat in ballet form, is slated for May 23 at the theater KBank Siam Pic-Ganesha in Bangkok and May 27 at Ho Guom Opera in Hanoi.
오는 10월에는 한국, 태국, 베트남을 대표하는 음악인이 함께 무대에 오르는 ‘K-라이브 페스티벌’을 태국 UOB 라이브와 주베트남한국대사관 돌담길 야외무대에서 개최한다. 11월에는 베트남국립오케스트라가 유명 K-팝을 클래식으로 재해석한 공연으로 호금오페라하우스에서 관객을 만난다.
In October, musicians from Korea, Thailand and Vietnam in October will jointly perform at the K-Live Festival held at UOB Live in Thailand and the Korean Embassy in Vietnam. The next month, the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra will perform a classical music reinterpretation of K-pop hits at Ho Guom Opera.
이어 연말에는 한국 전통문화를 소재로 한 미디어아트 특별 전시도 태국과 베트남에서 열린다. 베트남 민족학박물관은 오는 12월부터 내년 1월까지 ‘호랑이 신(神)나다’ 전시를 선보일 예정이다.
Exhibitions of media art based on traditional Korean culture are also slated for the end of the year in both Southeast Asian nations. The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology will hold a tiger exhibition from December to January next year.
이 밖에 ‘코리아시즌’을 맞아 연중 다채로운 한국문화 행사가 이어진다. 태국에서는 ‘케이데이’ 디자인 한복 전시·체험행사, ‘김치의 날’ 기념 한식 축제 등이 열린다.
Korea Season will also hold year-round cultural events. A “K-Day” Hanbok (traditional clothing) design exhibition and experience and a Hansik (traditional food) festival on the occasion of Kimchi Day (Nov. 22) are slated in Thailand.
베트남에서도 ‘한국대사관 돌담길 한국문화축제’. ‘한국인의 통과의례 강좌’, ‘K-Game’ 한국게임주간 행사 등이 현지인을 맞이한다.
Vietnam will see a Korean cultural festival at the stone wall road of the Korean Embassy, as well as lectures on Korean rites of passage and a “K-Game Week.”
김현준 문체부 국제문화정책관은 “‘K-컬처’의 다채로운 매력을 현지에 선보이는 동시에 양국 교류를 촉진해 상호 문화 이해의 폭을 넓히는 데 기여하겠다”고 말했다.
Kim Hyun Jun, director-general of the ministry’s International Cultural Affairs Policy Division, said, “We will deepen mutual cultural understanding by showcasing the diverse appeal of K-culture in both countries while stimulating bilateral exchange.”
