V + 어/아/여 주셨으면 좋겠다

어/아/여 주셨으면 좋겠다 is attached to the stem of an action verb to politely ask for what the speaker wants.

If the stem of an action verb ends with ‘ㅏ,ㅗ’ you should use ‘-아 주셨으면 좋겠다’, with another vowel(ㅓ,ㅜ,ㅡ,ㅣ) you use ‘-어 주셨으면 좋겠다’. If it ends with ‘하-‘, you should use ‘-여(해) 주셨으면 좋겠다’.

수업을 시작하기 전에 교실을 청소해 주셨으면 좋겠습니다.
I’d like you to clean the classroom before you start the class.

옷이 좀 작은데 한 치수 큰 것으로 주시면 좋겠어요.
My clothes are a little small, so I’d like you to give me a larger one.

음식이 너무 매운데 물을 좀 더 넣어 주시면 좋겠어요.
The food is too hot, so I’d like you to pour some more water.

Conversation:

구두의 금색 장식이 떨어져서 수선을 좀 받고 싶은데요.
I’d like to get some repairs because the golden ornament got off my shoes.

이 부분 말씀하시는 거죠? 지금 바로 붙여 드릴게요.
You mean this part, right? I will put it on right now.

그리고 오래 신다 보니 굽이 많이 닳았는데 새것으로 갈아 주셨으면 좋겠어요.
And the heels are worn out a lot since I’ve worn them for a long time. I hope you can change it to a new one.

해 드릴게요. 그런데 재료를 구해 와야 해서 일주일 정도 시간이 걸립니다.
I will do it for you. But it will take about a week because I have to get the ingredients.

일주일이나요! 제가 출장을 갔다가 한 달 후에 오는데 보관 좀 부탁드릴 수 있을까요?
A week! Can you keep it for me? I’m coming back a month after my business trip.

잘 보관해 두겠습니다. 걱정하지 마세요.
I will keep it safe. Don’t worry.

그리고 여기 겉면이 좀 벗겨져서 미관상 보기 안 좋은데 이건 괜찮으세요?
