한강에서 유럽풍 크리스마스를 느낄 수 있는 축제가 펼쳐진다. A festival in Seoul from next week will offer a Christmas atmosphere with a European vibe.
서울시는 연말연시를 맞아 한강 곳곳에서 펼쳐졌던 겨울 축제·행사를 한데 모아 오는 22일부터 내년 2월 12일까지 뚝섬·여의도·잠원·난지·망원 등 7개 한강공원 일대에서 동시다발적으로 ‘한강겨울페스타’를 개최한다고 17일 밝혔다.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government on Dec. 17 said the Hangang Winter Festival, a collection of winter festivals and events to mark the year-end and New Year’s holidays, will simultaneously run from Dec. 22 to Feb. 12 at seven Hangang Parks in the capital including those at Ttukseom, Yeouido, Jamwon, Nanji and Mangwon.
한강겨울페스타의 하이라이트는 이달 22일부터 31일까지 뚝섬한강공원에서 열리는 ‘로맨틱 한강 크리스마스 마켓’이다. 22일 오후 6시 해군 군악대 축하공연으로 시작되는 마켓에는 9m의 대형 로맨틱 트리, 로맨틱 게이트, 드림 마차를 비롯해 한지로 만들어진 눈사람, 산타 등 귀여운 조형물 ‘윈터 프렌즈’ 등 크리스마스 볼거리로 가득 채워져 있는 포토존 ‘메리 빌리지’가 마련된다.
The highlight is the Romantic Hangang Christmas Market from Dec. 22-31 at the Ttukseom park. The Republic of Korea Navy band will hold a congratulatory performance on Dec. 22 at 6 p.m. to mark the opening of the market, which will be a photo zone featuring a large “romantic” tree 9 m tall, “romantic” gate, things made of Hanji (traditional paper) like a dream carriage and snowmen, and cute sculptures called “Winter Friends” including one of Santa Claus.
뿐만 아니라 크리스마스 용품을 판매하는 ‘메리마켓’, 겨울철 간식거리를 판매하는 ‘푸드라운지’ 등이 운영된다. In addition, Merry Market will sell Christmas goods and Food Lounge winter snacks.
같은 기간 서울 광나루·난지·여의도·강서한강공원에선 ‘겨울에도 따뜻한 강’을 주제로 ‘한강페스티벌 겨울’이 열린다. 메인 프로그램은 뚝섬한강공원에 조성되는 쉼터 겸용의 이색 포토존인 ‘스노우 돔’이다. 2m 높이의 투명 스노우 돔 5개는 크리스마스트리, 벽난로, 청룡, 복주머니 등의 소품들로 장식돼 있어 한강을 배경으로 사진을 찍어보는 즐거움을 선사할 예정이다.
The Hangang Festival Winter held from Dec. 22-31 at the Hangang parks of Gwangnaru, Nanji, Yeouido and Gangseo will have as its theme “River Warm Even in Winter.” The main program of the festival is its unique snow domes, or photo booths that also double as rest spots, at Ttukseom Hangang Park. With each one transparent and 2 m tall, the five domes will be decked with props like Christmas trees, fireplaces, blue dragons and bokjumeoni (traditional “lucky” money pouches), allowing visitors to take photos with the Hangang River as the backdrop.
‘한강 눈썰매장’은 뚝섬·잠원·여의도한강공원 3곳에서 22일부터 내년 2월 12일까지 운영할 예정이다. 휴무 없이 주간, 주말 오전 9시부터 오후 5시까지 이용할 수 있으며, 이 중 뚝섬한강공원에선 로맨틱 한강 크리스마스 마켓이 열리는 기간에는 오후 8시까지 눈썰매를 탈 수 있다. 다만, 눈 정리 작업으로 인해 매일 12시부터 40분간 눈썰매장 및 놀이시설 운영이 잠시 중단된다.
Hangang Sledding Slope will run from Dec. 22 to Feb. 12 at the river parks of Ttukseom, Jamwon and Yeouido from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week. The sledding venue at the Ttukseom facility will have extended hours until 8 p.m. from Dec. 22-31 during the period of the Romantic Christmas Market there. The slope and amusement venues will be temporarily closed from noon to 12:40 p.m. daily for snow clearance and management.
방문객들은 눈썰매장에서 80m 길이의 대형 슬로프와 30m 길이의 소형 슬로프 2곳, 낮은 경사의 눈놀이 동산에서 썰매를 탈 수 있다. Visitors there can ride sleds along a long 80-m slope, two slopes each 30-m long and one with a lower slant.
눈썰매장 입장료는 어린이, 청소년, 성인 모두 6000원으로, 눈썰매를 포함해 눈놀이 동산, 휴게공간까지 모두 이용할 수 있다. 체험활동과 놀이기구는 각각 5000~6000원의 요금을 별도로 내야 한다.
Admission to the slope is KRW 6,000 for all ages including children, teens and adults that includes riding sleds and using areas for playing in snow and rest. Interactive programs and rides will cost an additional KRW 5,000-6,000.
또 빙어 잡기, 풍선 터뜨리기, 달고나 만들기 등 5종의 체험 행사와 미니 바이킹, 유로번지, 타가다 등 놀이기구 5종도 즐길 수 있다.
The five activities available including catching the small fish smelt, popping balloons or making dalgona (honeycomb candy) as well as riding five types of rides including a mini-Viking, low-level bungee jumping and tagada, or a spinning and bouncing circle with seats.
서울시는 눈썰매장 정식 개장을 하루 앞둔 21일 오전 11시부터 오후 3시까지 뚝섬한강공원 눈썰매장에서 사전에 모집한 지체·발달 장애인을 대상으로 ‘장애인 데이’ 행사를 개최한다. 이동이 어려운 장애인을 위해 장애인 전용 눈썰매장 리프트도 제작·설치한다.
On Dec. 21, the city will also observe Day for People with Disabilities one day before the slope’s official opening from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ttukseom Hangang Park for those with physical or developmental disabilities.
올해는 시민들이 다양한 곳에서 야외 활동을 즐길 수 있도록 여의도한강공원에서 눈썰매장을 선보이는 것과 함께 처음으로 야간개장도 실시한다. 로맨틱 한강 크리스마스 마켓이 열리는 기간 동안 뚝섬한강공원에서는 오후 8시까지 이용할 수 있다.
A sled lift will be manufactured and installed for disabled people having difficulty moving. A sledding slope will also be opened at Yeouido Hangang Park this year to allow outdoor activities. It will also be opened at night for the first time. The slope will run daily until 8 p.m. from Dec. 22-31 over the same period as the Romantic Christmas Market at the Ttukseom park.
오는 23, 25, 30, 31일 4일간은 여의도한강공원에서 아라김포여객터미널까지 운항하는 배를 타고 한강 야경을 보며 불꽃놀이를 즐기는 ‘한강음악불꽃크루즈’도 진행된다.
The Hangang Music Fireworks Cruise will be held on Dec. 23, 25 and 30-31 for an evening cruise going from Yeouido Hangang Park to Ara Gimpo Passenger Terminal, featuring the gorgeous nightscape and fireworks.
또한 오는 22일부터 1월 31일까지 망원한강공원 내 서울함공원 안내센터에서 열리는 ‘서울함공원 특별전시’도 별도 예약 없이 현장에서 무료로 즐길 수 있다.
A free exhibition at Seoul Battleship Park will run from Dec. 22 to Jan. 31 at the information center of Mangwon Hangang Park.
주용태 서울시 미래한강본부장은 “연말연시를 맞아 크리스마스 마켓과 눈썰매장, 포토존 등 겨울축제 종합선물세트를 준비했다”며 “가족 지인들과 함께 서울의 매력을 느끼는 시간이 되길 기대한다”고 말했다.
“We’ve prepared a comprehensive gift set of winter festivals including the Christmas Market, sledding slope and photo zones for late this year and early next year,” Deputy Seoul Mayor of Future Hangang Project Headquarters Joo Yong Tae said. “We hope that visitors can feel the charm of Seoul with family and friends.”
