In Korea, the method of calculating age differs a bit from (that of) other countries. In Korea, as soon as a baby is born, it becomes a one year old. Because the baby stayed in mother’s body for 10 months, when it’s born, it turns one. As well as this, when it gets to the first of January, everyone becomes a year older. Therefore, a baby that was born in September 2015 will be two years old on the first of January 2016, even though it has been out of mommy for only four months. However, Korean people officially use the same age as people in other countries
