The main highlight is Yeonsan Waterfall (#연산폭포), a 30m-high waterfall surrounded by dramatic rock cliffs. Nearby Gwaneum Waterfall (관음폭포) and its surrounding gorge offer equally impressive scenery.
Popular hiking routes
* 12 Waterfalls Trail
A 7.5 km circular route taking around 2 hours 40 minutes, starting and ending at Bogyeongsa Temple (보경사).
* Sogeumgang Observatory (#소금강전망대)
Often called “Korea’s Zhangjiajie”, this route takes about 2.5–3 hours round trip and offers spectacular views over the valley and cliffs.
* Bogyeongsa Temple (#보경사)
The hike begins at this historic 1,000-year-old temple, founded during the Silla period. Today, the temple and the surrounding waterfall area are open free of charge.
