한국의 6월 수출이 사상 처음으로 월간 1000억 달러를 돌파하며 역대 최대 실적을 기록했다. Exports in June surpassed the milestone of USD 100 billion for the first time in setting a monthly record high.
산업통상부가 1일 발표한 ‘6월 및 상반기 수출입동향’에 따르면 지난달 수출은 전년 같은 달보다 70.9% 증가한 1022억 5000만 달러를 기록했다. 독일, 중국, 미국에 이어 세계에서 네 번째로 월간 수출 1000억 달러를 넘겼다.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources in a report released on July 1 on import-export trends in June and the first half of the year said overseas shipments last month rose 70.9% year on year to USD 102.25 billion. Korea is thus just the fourth country to exceed USD 100 billion in monthly exports after Germany, China and the U.S.
같은 기간 수입은 30.1% 증가한 661억 달러에 그쳐 무역수지는 361억 5000만 달러 흑자를 내며 처음으로 300억 달러대를 돌파했다.
Imports rose 30.1% to USD 66.1 billion over the period for a trade surplus of USD 36.15 billion, the first time for the black figure to eclipse USD 30 billion.
반도체가 수출 증가를 이끌었다. 6월 반도체 수출은 448억 2000만 달러로 처음 400억 달러를 돌파했다. 컴퓨터 수출도 인공지능(AI) 인프라 투자 확대에 힘입어 308.8% 수직 상승했다. 자동차와 선박, 화장품, 바이오헬스, 농수산식품 등 주요 품목도 증가세를 보였다.
Semiconductors led the export boom with USD 44.82 billion last month, breaking USD 40 billion for the first time.
Computer exports skyrocketed 308.8% buoyed by expanded investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure. Major items like cars, ships, cosmetics, biohealth products, and agricultural, fishery and food products also showed growth.
지역별로는 중국과 미국 수출이 모두 200억 달러를 넘어섰고 아세안과 유럽연합(EU) 수출도 역대 최고 수준을 기록했다.
By market, exports to China and the U.S. each surpassed USD 20 billion, while those to member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the European Union set records.
상반기(1~6월) 누적으로 보면 수출은 전년 동기 대비 48.4% 증가한 4967억 달러로 같은 기간 기준 역대 최대 실적을 기록했다. 반도체 수출은 1924억 달러로 지난해 연간 실적을 이미 넘어섰다. 컴퓨터 수출도 연간 최고 기록을 갈아치웠다.
In the first half of the year, exports rose 48.4% year on year to USD 496.7 billion, yet another record. Those of semiconductors hit USD 192.4 billion, surpassing their performance for all of last year, and those of computers also broke their annual mark.
에너지 수입 단가 상승 등에 따라 수입(2584억 달러)은 16.6% 증가했지만, 수출 상승 폭이 이를 뛰어넘으며 무역수지 (1383억 달러) 역시 역대 최대 흑자를 나타냈다.
Imports rose 16.6% to USD 258.4 billion due to factors such as higher unit prices for energy imports, but export growth exceeded this to produce a record-high trade surplus of USD 138.3 billion.
김정관 산업통상부 장관은 미국의 관세 조치와 중동 정세 불안 등 대외 불확실성에도 반도체와 주력 제조업, 소비재 수출이 고르게 증가하며 최대 실적을 달성했다며 하반기에도 품목과 시장 다변화를 통해 수출 경쟁력을 강화하겠다고 밝혔다.
Minister of Trade, Industry and Resources Kim Jung-Kwan attributed the record performance to the even growth of exports of semiconductors, leading manufacturing sectors and consumer goods despite external uncertainty such as U.S. tariffs and instability in the Middle East. He also pledged to raise export competitiveness in the second half of the year through the diversification of product lines and markets.
