한국이 2026 아이치·나고야 아시안게임에서 27일 하루에만 야구, 여자 핸드볼, 펜싱 여자 사브르 단체전, 승마 마장마술 개인전, 스케이트보드 남자 스트리트에서 금메달 5개를 추가했다.
Korea on Sept. 27 added five gold medals in baseball, women’s handball, women’s team sabre in fencing, individual dressage in equestrian and men’s street skateboarding at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games in Japan.
한국 야구 대표팀은 이날 일본 아이치현 도요하시 시민구장에서 열린 야구 결승에서 일본을 꺾고 정상에 올랐다. 류지현 감독이 이끄는 대표팀은 6회까지 안타 1개만 내주며 무실점으로 호투한 곽빈을 앞세워 팽팽한 경기를 이어갔다.
In baseball, Korea beat the host country for the gold, 3-1, at Toyohashi Municipal Baseball Stadium in Aichi Prefecture. Led by manager Ryu Ji-hyun, Korea kept the game close behind Kwak Been, who allowed just one hit through six and a third scoreless innings.
한국은 8회 김도영과 문보경의 안타로 3-1로 앞선 뒤 조병현과 박영현이 무실점으로 일본 타선을 틀어 막으며 승리를 지켰다. 이로써 한국 야구 대표팀은 2010년 광저우 대회부터 이번 대회까지 5회 연속 아시안게임 금메달을 차지했다.
Korea took a 3-1 lead in the eighth thanks to hits from Kim Do-yeong and Moon Bo-gyeong. Pitchers Jo Byeong-hyeon and Park Young-hyun then shut down Japan’s batters to secure victory.
The win was Korea’s fifth consecutive Asiad gold in baseball, a streak that started at the 2010 edition in Guangzhou, China.
여자 핸드볼 대표팀도 이날 일본 아이치현 이나자와 엔트리오에서 열린 여자 핸드볼 풀리그 최종전에서 일본을 꺾고 2018년 자카르타·팔렘방 대회 이후 8년 만에 정상에 올랐다.
In women’s handball, the national team also defeated Japan, 27-23, in the final round-robin game at Entrio, aka Toyoda Gosei Memorial Gymnasium, in Inazawa, winning the gold for the first time since the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.
대표팀은 경기 초반 7-5로 앞서며 주도권을 잡았다. 이후 동점을 허용했지만 장거리 슛과 패스 차단에 이은 돌파, 페널티 슛 등을 앞세워 14-10으로 격차를 벌렸다. 후반에도 김민서의 페널티 슛과 경기 종료 3분 전 주장 권한나의 돌파에 이은 득점으로 승기를 굳혔다. 대표팀은 이번 대회에서 6전 전승을 기록하며 금메달을 획득했다.
Korea took an early 7-5 lead before Japan tied it but pulled ahead 14-10 with long-range shots, breakthroughs after intercepted passes and penalty shots. In the second half, the team maintained its lead with a penalty shot from Kim Minseo and a goal by captain Kwon Hanna following a breakthrough with three minutes left. Korea went 6-0 in the tournament to claim the title.
펜싱 여자 사브르 대표팀은 일본 아이치 스카이 엑스포에서 열린 단체전 결승에서 일본을 43-31로 꺾고 2018년 대회 이후 8년 만에 우승했다.
In fencing, the women’s sabre team conquered Japan, 43-31, in the final at Aichi Sky Expo, winning the Asiad gold for the first time in eight years.
한국 펜싱은 남자와 여자 사브르 단체전의 금메달에 이어 에페와 플뢰레 종목을 포함해 금메달 4개, 은메달 4개, 동메달 2개 등 총 10개의 메달을 획득하며 대회를 마쳤다.
The national team in this sport concluded the tournament with four gold, four silver and two bronze, including the men’s and women’s team sabre titles and medals in epee and foil.
28일 현재 금메달 21개, 은메달 23개, 동메달 39개로 총 83개의 메달을 획득한 한국은 금메달 수에서 중국(119개)과 일본(37개)에 이어 종합 3위를 유지하고 있다.
As of Sept. 28, Korea secured 83 medals — 21 gold, 23 silver and 39 bronze — to remain third overall in gold medals behind China (119) and Japan (37).
