2026 아이치·나고야 아시안게임 11일 차인 29일 한국 선수단이 금메달 3개를 추가하며 메달 레이스를 이어갔다. Korea on Sept. 29 added three gold medals on the 10th day of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games in Japan.
배드민턴 세계랭킹 1위 안세영은 일본 아이치현 이치노미야 시립체육관에서 열린 여자 단식 결승에서 세계랭킹 3위인 야마구치 아카네(일본)를 2-0(21-17 21-9)으로 꺾었다.
An Se Young, the world’s top female badminton player, beat that day No. 3 Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in straight sets (21-17, 21-9) in the women’s singles final at Ichinomiya City Gymnasium in Aichi Prefecture.
2022 항저우 대회(2023년 개최)에서 여자 단식과 여자 단체전 정상에 올랐던 안세영은 이번 대회에서도 금메달을 목에 걸며 아시안게임 여자 단식 사상 첫 2연패를 달성했다.
Having won the gold in the singles and team events at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, held in 2023, An became the first player in the tournament’s history to win two straight women’s singles titles in her sport.
앞서 열린 배드민턴 여자 복식 결승에서는 세계랭킹 2위 이소희-백하나 조가 세계랭킹 1위 류성수-탄닝(중국) 조를 상대로 2-1(26-28 21-18 21-18) 역전승을 거뒀다. 항저우 대회에서 은메달을 획득했던 이소희-백하나 조는 2002 부산 대회 이후 24년 만에 한국에 아시안게임 배드민턴 여자 복식 금메달을 안겼다.
Earlier in women’s doubles, the world No. 2 duo of Lee So Hee and Baek Ha Na rallied (26-28, 21-18, 21-18) to beat the top-ranked pair of Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning of China. Avenging their runner-up finish in the last tournament in Hangzhou, the Korean team secured Korea’s first Asiad gold in their event since the 2002 edition in Busan.
우즈베키스탄의 전통 무예인 쿠라시에서도 금빛 낭보를 전했다. 김민영은 쿠라시 여자 87kg 초과급 결승에서 스류리링(대만)을 5-0으로 꺾고 금메달을 차지했다. 쿠라시는 2018 자카르타·팔렘방 대회부터 아시안게임 정식 종목으로 포함됐다. 한국 쿠라시가 아시안게임 정상에 오른 것은 이번이 처음이다.
Korea also won its first gold in kurash, a traditional wrestling style from Uzbekistan that debuted as an official event at the 2018 Asiad in Indonesia. Kim Min-young topped the women’s 87-kg class by defeating Shih Liu Li-ling of Taiwan 5-0 in the final.
대회 폐막을 4일 앞둔 30일 현재 한국은 금메달 24개, 은메달 27개, 동메달 45개로 메달 순위 3위를 유지하고 있다. 중국이 금메달 143개로 선두를 달리고 있으며, 일본이 45개로 뒤를 잇고 있다.
As of Sept. 3, Korea stayed third in the medal standings with 24 gold, 27 silver and 44 bronze. China was atop the board with 143 gold and Japan was second with 45.
