한국이 공적개발원조(ODA) 사업으로 추진한 페루 스마트도로 구축 마스터플랜이 페루 정부의 국가 법정계획으로 공식 채택됐다.
Peru has officially adopted a master plan for the construction of smart roads with official development assistance (ODA) from Korea.
국토교통부(국토부)는 25일(현지 시간) 페루 교통통신부가 ‘페루 국도 스마트도로관리(재난·교통) 마스터플랜’을 국가 법정계획으로 공포했다고 28일 밝혔다.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in Seoul on June 28 said the Peruvian Ministry of Transport and Communications on June 25 announced the plan for managing disaster and traffic on roads on the South American country’s national highways.
이번 ODA 사업은 한국도로공사 컨소시엄이 지난 2024년 7월부터 지난해 6월까지 수행했다.
From July 2024 to June last year, a consortium led by the Korea Expressway Corp. conducted the ODA project.
페루 간선 국도인 판아메리칸 하이웨이 1560km 구간의 스마트 도로관리 마스터플랜 수립과 후속 사업 발굴이 포함됐다.
The initiative includes a master plan to manage smart roads in the 1,560-km section of the Pan-American Highway, a major national freeway in Peru, as well as finding follow-up ventures.
이에 따라 국토부는 다음 달부터 후속 사업인 ‘페루 리마–찬카이 스마트 지능형교통체계-ITS 구축 사업 타당성 조사’를 수행한다. 이번 사업으로 페루 ITS 구축이 본격화되면서 한국 기업의 해외 진출도 확대 될 것으로 기대된다.
Accordingly, the Korean ministry will conduct a feasibility study next month for the follow-up project of building the Lima–Chancay Smart Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). The implementation of this project will mark the full-fledged launch of ITS development in Peru, leading to expectations of Korean companies expanding their overseas operations.
앞서 지난 2019년 콜롬비아에서도 한국이 추진한 교통 마스터플랜이 2022년 법정계획으로 지정된 뒤 후속 사업이 이어졌고 민간기업도 적극적으로 참여했다.
In 2019, Korea developed a similar master plan in Colombia, which led to follow-up projects and participation by private companies.
