한국 펜싱 여자 사브르 대표팀이 아시아선수권 단체전에서 3년 만에 정상에 올랐다. The national women’s fencing squad has won the team sabre title at the Asian Fencing Championships for the first time in three years.
전하영, 김정미, 서지연, 최세빈으로 구성된 펜싱 여자 사브르 대표팀은 23일(현지 시간) 인도 뉴델리에서 열린 대회 단체전에서 금메달을 획득했다.
Jeon Hayoung, Kim Jeongmi, Seo Jiyeon and Choi Sebin on June 23 clinched the gold medal at the event in New Delhi, India.
대표팀은 8강에서 태국을 45대 19로 꺾은 데 이어 준결승에서도 우즈베키스탄을 45대 27로 제압했다. 결승에서는 일본을 45대 35, 10점 차로 따돌리며 우승했다.
After beating Thailand, 45–19, in the quarterfinals and Uzbekistan, 45–27, in the semifinals, Korea triumphed over Japan, 45–35, for the championship.
이번 대회에서 한국은 전날 남자 사브르에 이어 여자 사브르 단체전에서도 결승 한일전을 모두 승리로 장식했다.
The Korean men’s squad had also defeated Japan the previous day to win the sabre team gold.
남자 에페 단체전에서는 박상영, 권오민, 손민성, 남연호가 출전해 카자흐스탄과 일본에 이어 3위를 차지하며 동메달을 목에 걸었다.
In men’s team epee, Park Sangyoung, Kwon Omin, Son Minseong and Nam Yeonho finished third for the bronze behind Kazakhstan and Japan.
이번 대회에서 금메달 3개와 은메달 1개, 동메달 6개를 획득한 대표팀은 여자 에페와 남자 플뢰레 단체전에서 추가 메달을 노린다.
Winning three gold, one silver and six bronze at the competition so far, both Korean squads will compete for more medals in the women’s epee and men’s foil team events.
